Lake Louisa State Park

Clermont's Waterfront Park
Clermont Clay Trail
Lake Louisa State park

Waterfront Park is located along Lake Minneola, between East Avenue and Eighth Street. A fitness trail that is part of a 30-mile system, and will be part of the coast-to-coast trail, runs through the park and provides a great path for running, walking and jogging. It connects to the West Orange Trail via a great shaded bike path.

October 2022 Update: The Clay Trail is currently closed due to construction on Wellness Way. Check back periodically for new information.
The Clermont Clay Trail is a 10 mile loop on back roads with rolling hills, with a few steep ones, help to provide variety. Expect great views the entire way. This trail is a favorite of local triathletes and running groups, but it’s good for all visitors who want to enjoy the softer surface.

The natural theme park of Lake Louisa State Park showcases a diversity of wildlife, including deer, bobcat, gopher tortoises, fox squirrel and flighted creatures like bald eagles and osprey.

Running and bicycling is popular on the park’s seven miles of paved roads over rolling hills and on the 20 miles of unpaved multi-use trails.

Training Facilities

Clermont is known as the “Choice of Champions” because of its international reputation as the training ground for elite athletes. The combination of pristine lakes, rolling hills and warm climate make it an ideal location to train for triathlons, track-and-field events, water sports and more.

Our downtown is home to a variety of unique shops, restaurants, bars and two breweries. Find more great information at Clermont Downtown Partnership.

Clermont has a variety of places to stay whether you are in town for training for visiting for a race.

For a traditional hotel stay, we recommend Home2Suites by HiltonFairfield by Marriott and the Hampton Inn.

If you have a group or are staying for an extended period of time, we suggest Siena at Bella Collina, which has full kitchen and multi bedroom accommodations.

The National Training Center offers an Olympic sized outdoor pool and fitness center.  The USAT certified facility also has a private track and cross country course. Visit their site for additional information.

Exceptional, knowledgeable, not pushy, customer assistance. Great shoes and pleasant experience. I was worried about downtown parking, but they have parking in the rear. Support local business!!!

Annette was absolutely amazing. So knowledgeable and friendly. Found me “the shoe” and educated me about why it was the right shoe. Feet haven’t felt this good in years! Best service from any shoe store I’ve ever been to. I won’t ever buy anything for my feet from anywhere else ever again!

The woman that helped us was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting with picking out the right shoes and arch supports for my husband. As well as explaining some of the energy and electrolyte products I have been looking for. Will definitely be back to support this business!
