FloDash Puts On Lake County's Best Races
The biggest running events in Clermont, FL come from FloDash Events, a separate race company built around the same community we serve. Its six-race series runs from February through November, with 5K, 10K, 15K, and half marathon options so the distance meets you wherever your training is — Howey-in-the-Hills, Lake Louisa State Park, the Clermont Freedom 5K on July 4th, the Clermont Clay in October, and the Groveland Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning.
Finish all six and you earn the series medal holder. More than 2,000 runners have covered over 25,500 miles at these races, and packet pickup happens right here in the store, so stop in the week of your race and let us check that your shoes are ready for the mileage.

Two Free Social Runs Every Week
Twice a week, our free social runs in Clermont, FL turn a weeknight into a reason to get outside. Tuesdays we meet at The View @ Clermont National and set off at 6:45 PM. Wednesdays we leave the store at 741 West Montrose Street at 6:30 PM, cover three to five miles through downtown, and finish at Sud's Saloon for a drink with whoever wants one.
Runners, walkers, and joggers all come out, so nobody ends up alone at the back. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay. Show up a few minutes early and say hello. Once a month Corelli's brings pizza, and every mile you log counts toward our Mileage Challenge.
Endurance Events That Give Back Locally
South Lake Multisport Events, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) that raises money for the endurance venues our community trains on. It has produced the Clermont Clay 15K and 5K since 2014 and donated an AED to the City of Clermont in 2018 — the kind of quiet work that keeps local trails, tracks, and open water usable for everyone.
Like FloDash, SLME runs independently of the store. We support it because its races put money back into South Lake County, and because a stronger local endurance scene means more people out moving. Ask us in the store which of its events suits where your training is right now.
