The story of Dash Sports in Clermont, FL begins in 2006, when Kimberly Grogan opened a small shop called Gear for MultiSport inside the National Training Center. A background in physical education and a career in retail gave her one straightforward idea: measure people properly, watch them walk, and put them in shoes that genuinely fit.
In 2019 the store moved into downtown Clermont, a block from Waterfront Park and Lake Minneola, and the name became Dash Sports. The extra room meant more brands on the wall and more time to sit down with each customer. Twenty years later we are still family owned, still fitting one pair at a time, and still measuring success by who walks back through the door.

Two Stores, One Way of Doing Things
In 2025 we opened a second store in Winter Garden, just off SR-429 on Stoneybrook West Parkway, so customers in Horizon West, Ocoee, Windermere, and west Orange County no longer have to drive to Lake County for a proper fitting.
Both stores work the same way. The fitting is complimentary, and nobody is handed a box before their feet have been measured and their walk observed. Walk-ins are welcome at either address, we carry every major brand rather than pushing one label, and anything not on the wall can be special ordered. Runners, Walkers, and Everyone on Their Feet
Plenty of people come through our doors who have never run a step, and they get exactly the same attention. Nurses and teachers who stand all shift, retirees walking the South Lake Trail for their health, and anyone whose heels ache every morning make up a large share of the fittings we do each week.
It is also why area podiatrists and orthopedic physicians send us their patients. Our fitters bring more than 30 years of combined experience and spend their own weekends running, walking, and racing, so what you hear comes from real miles rather than a product sheet. We fit shoes, we do not diagnose, and for ongoing pain we will always tell you to see a doctor as well.
Twenty Years, and the Miles to Prove It
Two decades in, some recognition has followed. South Lake County voted Dash Sports its Best Retail Store, we were named one of the best running stores in America, and Running Insight featured the shop in its Summer 2026 issue alongside our twentieth anniversary.
The number we watch closest is simpler than any award: 5.0 stars across more than 1,100 Google reviews between Clermont and Winter Garden. Each one came from somebody who sat down, got measured, and left in shoes that finally fit.
