Some milestones are worth celebrating a little louder, and this is one of them. We were recently featured in Running Insight magazine as part of a special piece honoring businesses that have hit the 20-year mark. Getting recognized in a national publication is a great feeling, but it also gave us a good excuse to look back at how far we’ve come.
How We Got Started
Our story goes back to 2006, when we opened as a 500-square-foot swim and run shop inside the National Training Center in Clermont. We built the business around expert shoe fitting and genuine customer care, and those two things are still at the core of everything we do today. What started as a small shop has grown into something much bigger and grander than we ever expected.
Two Decades of Growth
Over the last twenty years, we’ve helped countless runners reach their first-ever starting line and fit multiple generations of the same families for their shoes. We’ve grown from a traditional triathlon and run specialty store into a full active lifestyle destination, and we opened a second location in nearby Winter Garden to serve even more of our community. Along the way, we’ve become a steady presence around town by organizing run groups, hosting races and partnering with local organizations.
What Hasn’t Changed
Even with two storefronts and twenty years behind us, our mission has stayed the same. It’s still about expert shoe fitting, real conversations and treating every person who walks through our doors like they matter. Because they do.
What’s Next for Us
We’re not slowing down anytime soon. There’s a lot of energy around what’s coming next, and we’re committed to growing our community impact, elevating the in-store experience, and expanding the products and services that support active lifestyles. Twenty years in, our goal hasn’t changed. We want to help people find shoes that let them do more of what they love, whether that’s training for a first 5k, chasing a marathon PR, or just walking without pain for the first time in years.
